“The vending companies we met with understood immediately the huge potential that mobile vending will have in their particular area especially at festivals, universities, marketing/promotion of new products, military applications and in the rural areas,” says Kathy Lovitt VP and export manager for Carts Blanche, LLC.

While street vendors as an occupation has existed for hundreds of years and is considered a cornerstone of many cities’ historical and cultural heritage, selling affordable goods and services are an integral component of urban economies in Colombia the new trend sweeping the area is in automated retail.

Where street vendors may have fixed stalls such as kiosks, semi-fixed stalls like folding tables; they may operate from crates, collapsible stands, or wheeled pushcarts vending provides consumers with convenient and accessible retail options and forms a vital part of the social and economic life of a city today.
