Delivering healthy nutritional foods to persons in food desert areas is a national initiative under the “Let’s Move” campaign banner. This challenge has tasked local, state and federal agencies, grocery store chains, farmers markets and food corps, entrepreneurs etc. to find solutions.
Traditionally, fresh produce has been delivered into communities using trucks and carts or offered at curb side stands and farmers markets. Although these processes worked in the past they are not the answer for future.
VendaMarts trailer design is equipped with eight built-in refrigerated, frozen and ambient temperature vending machines. The system runs on line power and/or generators. The automated machines accept a combination of cash, credit, debit and EBT cards for fast and convenient transaction.
Business operations are run by a single person while all equipment is configured with remote monitoring systems for easier business management.
The automated machines create a quick way to deliver food items to more customers in a shorter time frame. This enables the trailer to be moved to multiple locations in a given day and up to fifteen locations on a weekly schedule.
